When and where are the Work Clubs?

You can join one of our work clubs, where you will have free access to computers and telephones to help with your job search. The careers@derby team can give you advice about the latest vacancies, tips on updating a CV, on-line job searching, preparation for interviews and advice on volunteering, further learning. If you need more in depth help, such as creating a CV from scratch, completing a particularly in depth application form or discussing your longer term career plans, this can be arranged through a further 1:1meeting.

Allenton Work Club meets at our Allen Park Centre from 10am – 3:30pm on Mondays (preference is given to Allenton residents, but everyone is welcome)

Our careers@derby team is here to give you individual advice and guidance. You can book an appointment at any of the adult learning centres. Advisers will be visiting our centres on a weekly basis.

Have a chat with the advisers regarding any issues or concerns you have finding employment, creating a CV, completing job applications, overcoming barriers to finding employment, help with NARIC (recognition and comparison of international qualifications), and access to employment opportunity information. Help is also available if you are in a job, but would like to change career or progress in your current job and need advice on where to start.
