Who is the course for?

The course is suitable for people who would like to learn more about childcare either for a future career or to better support their own children.

Please note - anyone wishing to enrol on this course needs to attend the free Childcare Introduction and Asssessment course which is to take part the week before the Cache Level 1 begins.

If you are unable to attend the introduction and assessment session, you will need to be assessed by a tutor. Providing that the tutor is happy with your interest in the subject and your level of English which should be that you already have a Level 1 in English Functional Skills or be seen to be studying towards it, you will then be given the go ahead to enrol on the course.

What do I need to bring?

Are there any additional costs?

There is an exam fee of £50 (please note we are awaiting confirmation from the examining board that this remains the same)

How will I know how I am progressing during the course?

After each session, you will be asked to keep a record of your studying. You tutor will regularly give you feedback and guidance. Half way through the course, there will be an opportunity for one to one tutorial so that you can review your work and set new targets.
