What does the course involve?
There is a programme of different crafts each week designed for beginners which enables learners to learn basic techniques in each craft.
Who is the course for?
Anyone who wants to learn the basic techniques of several crafts
What do I need to bring?
Please bring glasses if you wear them – all materials and equipment are provided by the tutor.
Are there any additional costs?
The tutor provides the basic materials for the session only.
How will I know how I am progressing during the course?
Feedback will be given, both verbally and by the evaluation of completed tasks & projects. You will receive verbal feedback on the results of your practical exercises.
There is no formal exam, although there is continual evaluation throughout the course.
Towards the end of each session you will use a DerbyLearn forum to record what you have done in class and comment on how you think you got on. Before the next session your tutor will reply with their feedback. This is a very good method of recording your own progress, reflecting on the session and a great way to receive motivation from your tutor.
Can I have help in the class?
Yes via the learning Partner Scheme. Please contact Pat Ward on 01332 642308 or email@example.com for more information.
