20 April 2018
Friday between 13:00 and 15:00

NOTE: This course has already finished.
What will I be learning?
This is an open workshop where all abilities are welcome. Learners will have the opportunity to work creatively using clay media.
Beginners will be led through some basic methods with which to develop creative work in clay whilst experienced learners may have some of their own individual project ideas they want to develop and explore using clay media.
Demonstrations in hand building techniques will be given to show how to:
- make ceramic items using techniques such as coils, slabs or using slump moulds
- apply a variety of surface decoration and texture to clay
- add colour to work using coloured slips to splash, brush, sponge or trail on to the surface of made items
All work will be left to dry and fired in the kiln at a later date, which can either be collected or glazed at another workshop session.
