Course Information

What will I be learning?

This is a practical workshop-based course. The aim of the course is to consolidate your existing skills and extend your knowledge of the subject.

There will be two set projects one very precise in nature and one very fluid. The first project will cover setting a cabochon stone in a silver ring. This will challenge your precision skills. The second will introduce the fold forming copper sheet technique. The purpose of this technique is to learn about the working properties of the material and how to form it using a hammering method.

There will be a third technique demonstrated; doming and pressing which will be an optional project for those wishing to explore its potential.

Does the course lead to a qualification?

No, it doesn’t lead to a qualification
