Derby Adult Learning Service works in partnership with community groups, schools and children’s centres to promote learning and to provide high quality adult learning in the community.

 

What is on offer?

Learners with Learning Difficulties and Disabilities:

A wide range of programmes are offered in discrete provision for learners with learning difficulties. The subjects covered are: self-advocacy; ICT; floristry; horticulture; personal presentation; healthy lifestyle; life skills; local community; employment related courses; diversity; confidence building; assertiveness; personal safety; food drink and cooking; communication courses; and a range of creative arts courses.

 

We offer flexible delivery by highly qualified and experienced tutors.

We work in partnership with many organisations across Derby including:

 

  • 9 Children’s Centres across Derby – providing courses for parents, carers and members of the local community

  • Derby Libraries
  • Derby City Council Social Care
  • Learning Disability Partnership Board
