Who is this course for

If you are interested in gaining a GCSE Maths qualification, get a head start and find out more with our introduction course.  It will support you with development of skills, whilst learning about some of the topics in the GCSE syllabus. It will also support your confidence to start the GCSE qualification course in September.

What are the entry requirements

You should have Level 1 Functional Skills Maths qualification or be assessed at working at this level.

What will I be learning

You will learn about key areas of the GCSE Maths syllabus and develop skills and confidence in preparation for progression onto the qualification course in September.

How will I be assessed and supported

You will not have any formal assessments, but you will use an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) to set and review targets.  You will also receive feedback, enabling continual reflection and evaluation throughout the course. You will use your ILP to help track and monitor your own progress towards set goals, to support personal development and achievement.

What do I need to bring?

You should bring a notepad and pen.
