Who is this course for

This course is suitable for anyone with a learning disability who wants to find work.

What are the entry requirements

This course is designed for adults with a learning disability.

What will I be learning

On the course you will learn about
Finding a job
CVs
Interviews
Being an employee including your rights and responsibilities
Skills for work

You will also be supported to take part in a short work experience placement which our Employment and Skills Team will support you with.

How will I be assessed and supported

At the beginning of the course, you will talk to your tutor about what you will do on this course, and what you would like to achieve.
You will keep a weekly ILP to record how you are getting on. Your tutor will also write about your progress and what you need to do next in this ILP.
As part of this course, you will be supported by an employment advisor help you to find a short work experience placement and will help you during and after the course with your next steps into volunteering or employment.

Pen and notepad.
