Who is this course for

If cyber security is new to you and you want to learn how to stay safe online this course is for you!  It is also ideal if you want to improve your confidence with digital technology and awareness of online risks and protection methods whilst also gaining a nationally recognised qualification.

What are the entry requirements

You should have basic computer skills and be comfortable using a computer.
No formal qualifications are required, but familiarity with using the internet, email, and word processing will be helpful.

What will I be learning

You will learn about cybercrime, safe use of the internet, email, and social media by knowing about good practices and avoiding scams.
You will develop your knowledge of forms, motives and tactics of cybercrime and what can be done to avoid being targeted, key legislation and ethical considerations.

How will I be assessed and supported

You will be assessed by producing a portfolio of evidence of your knowledge and skills.  You will receive support from your tutor throughout the course.
You will also complete an Individual Learning Plan to support your progress.
