Who is this course for

If you are a beginner, maker, or aspiring digital fabricator who wants to gain a practical understanding of the key tools, technologies, and techniques involved in the 3D printing process, then this is the course for you.

What are the entry requirements

While there are no formal entry requirements, you should have an interest in learning about 3D printing hardware and software this is. Basic computer skills are helpful.

What will I be learning

You will:
Learn the basics of 3D printing technology.
Learn about materials used in 3D printing.
Understand slicing software and how it converts 3D models into printable files.  Gain hands-on experience setting up, operating, and troubleshooting 3D printers.
Learn safe handling of 3D printing equipment
Discover essential tools and accessories for successful printing.

How will I be assessed and supported

There is no formal assessment. You will be supported through tutor-led instruction, hands-on practical activities, and informal demonstrations of your skills using 3D printing tools and technology.

What do I need to bring?

Notepad and pen.
All other equipment, including access to 3D printers and design software, will be provided.
