Who is this course for

If you have a learning difficulty and would like to learn something new, but don’t know where to start, we can help. It is also ideal for those who have goals for the future but don’t know how to get there.

What are the entry requirements

There are no entry requirements.

What will I be learning

On this course you will talk about your strengths, any areas you would like to improve in and your goals for the future.
With the tutor, you will write an action plan for your progress.  You will do this by taking part in a range of activities.

How will I be assessed and supported

At the beginning of your course, you will talk to the tutor about why you have chosen this course and what you want to learn to be able to do. During the course you will use an Individual Learning Plan to review your progress towards these targets with your tutor.

Each week you will be asked to think about what has gone well and what you need to work on next. Your tutor will give you feedback on this as well.

Throughout the course your tutor will talk to you about your progress and every term you will have a short meeting with your tutor.

If you need help to read and write your tutor or a support worker will help you with this.

You will need to bring a pen and paper.
