What are the entry requirements

There are no entry requirements.

What will I be learning

On this course you will learn about important work skills including,
timekeeping,
team work,
communication,
rights and responsibilities,
CVs,
applications and
interviews.
You will discuss the kind of work you are looking for with your tutor and identify your strengths and any areas you need to develop. Together you will write an action plan for your progress.
As part of this course, you will visit employers and places of work and take part in short work experience.

How will I be assessed and supported

At the beginning of your course, you will talk to the tutor about why you have chosen this course, and what you want to be able to do. During the course, you will use an Individual Learning Plan to review your progress towards these targets with your tutor. Each week, you will be asked to think about what has gone well, and what you need to work on next. Your tutor will give you feedback on this as well.
Throughout the course, your tutor will talk to you about your progress, and every term you will have a short meeting with your tutor.
If you need help to read and write, your tutor or a support worker will help you with this.

You will need to bring a pen and Paper.
