Who is this course for

Do you enjoy playing online or video games.  Perhaps you’re a creative thinker or curious about digital careers
This course will introduce you to the exciting world of video game design and development.
You'll explore how games are made, learn to plan your own game ideas, and create a design proposal that outlines aspects of the game. 

What are the entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.
You should have basic computer skills, be comfortable using a computer, be familiar with using the internet, email, and word processing.

What will I be learning

This single unit qualification is designed for you to develop an initial idea into a game prototype. You will create visuals to show what the game will look like, as well as a design proposal that outlines aspects of the game. You will then present your game prototype and review your performance.

How will I be assessed and supported

You will be assessed by producing a portfolio of evidence, allowing you to demonstrate your understanding and skills practically.
Tutors will provide continuous support, guiding learners through each stage of the game design process.
