What will I be learning?
If you are looking for a job, then our friendly Careers Team can offer you free advice and guidance to help you on your way. The sessions are every Tuesday at the Rycote Centre, Thursday at the Multicultural Centre or Friday at the Village Learning Centre for the whole of the term, and you can attend as many sessions as you like. You do not have to attend all the sessions.
The course will cover the following:
- Job search support
- Support with updating an existing CV or creating new one
- Help with job application forms
- Advice on courses
- Careers advice
- Assistance with finding voluntary work

This course does not lead to a qualification.
Who is the course for?
The course is for anyone who wants help preparing for work either now on in the future
What do I need to bring?
Pen and paper to write some notes.
Are there any additional costs?
How will I know how I am progressing during the course?
During the session you will be able to discuss and review your understanding of the topics covered.
Can I have help in the class?
The course will be adapted to individual needs and your tutor may contact you by telephone if necessary.

Staff and learners will need to bring in their own supplies. The Rye cafe will do pre-booked take out only.
From the city centre head towards Kedleston Road along King Street and Garden Street. At the 'Five Lamps' traffic lights on Garden Street you will see a sign for the Rycote Centre, turn left down Parker Street then turn right and the Centre is on the right hand side, parking is on the street and the main entrance is through the Social Service's car park. The Centre can also be accessed from Kedleston Road - opposite the Polish Club - but there is no parking at this entrance other than on Kedleston Road 01332 956370 or 01332 956565
