What will I be learning?

Derby Adult learning are offering a range of activities to help families learn about food and health.

The activities are designed to help families try new ideas and recipes which are affordable and healthy.

We can help you plan a menu on a budget, as well as promoting healthy eating and safety in the kitchen.

Come and join us for fun activities that you can all do together as a family such as  

  • Grow your own food
  • Preparing healthy food together
  • Food Science
  • Make a food rainbow collage

Once you enrol on the course, you will be sent the links to the videos which you can view at any time.

What do I need to bring?

All the videos will let you know, what you will need to complete the activities

How will I know how I am progressing during the course?

A member of staff from DALS will contact you to ensure you are able to access the online videos and support your personal development and achievement.

Can I have help in the class?

At enrolment, it is important that you tell us if you have a learning difficulty or disability and require support. Learners declaring a support need will be referred for an assessment. If an enhanced support need is confirmed, a Support Package will be offered, to assist your progress in your learning and development, specific to your assessed needs.
